A very good question. So much focus on #Millenials, when "People older than 50 now account for more than half of the world’s consumer spending, and their share is projected to grow to 60 per cent by 2050." And when we say older than 50, that's not just #Boomers. That's #GenX too. Sometimes this focus on broad demographics is highly un-useful.
"The tech industry’s hostility to ageing “continues to violate common sense,” Joseph Coughlin, the director of Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s AgeLab"
“The market is ageing. The market is numerous. The market has got more money than the people they have been building products for,” Coughlin said. “And yet they continue to ignore them.”
So much potential for business, if they'd only look.
More: They love tech. They have money. So why does Big Tech ignore old people?
